Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is home to the Gateway Café, Terrace Café and the East Gate Coffee Bar, set in over 70 acres of beautiful landscape and waiting to be discovered just one mile north of the city centre. From sumptuous seasonal dishes prepared on-site with ingredients handpicked from our Kitchen Garden to handmade cakes served fresh from our ovens throughout the day, our unique Cafés offer an idyllic location to relax and unwind in a garden setting.
To celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dragon, our kitchens will be offering dragon-themed sweet treats, including a fiery red velvet cake, blood orange and spiced cardamom biscuits and dragon egg chocolate truffles, as well as some daily specials inspired by Chinese cuisine that include Veggie“Jiaozi” (dumplings), a Sesame, Broccoli and noodle salad, a Vegetable-style fried rice and more.
