Just a mile from the city centre, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of the world’s leading Botanic Gardens. The 70 acres of beautiful landscape are home to over 13,500 plant species. The Garden’s 10 Glasshouses have different climatic zones. Garden entry is free.

The John Hope Gateway visitor centre is accessed via the West Gate, Arboretum Place and is served by the Majestic Bus Tour. The Garden’s East Gate is served by local buses 8, 23 and 27 from the city centre. There is metered parking around the Garden Monday to Friday, free at weekend.
